In Instagram: The Denver Botanic Gardens

Today we spent the afternoon at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I used my cell phone (and the Instagram app) to capture some of what we saw. For more on Kizuna: West Meets East you can check out this post (with recipe for Black Sesame Otsu). Happy Wednesday!

  3. My favorite part of a botanical garden is the veggie and herb garden. These are great Instagram photos!

    1. Thanks, Kat. The Kizuna exhibit has been a really great addition to the Denver Botanic Gardens. The bamboo keeps changing color, as do the planted perennials. I'm with you-- the herb and veggie gardens are the best! There are gorgeous corn stalks too, and an Italian herb garden that just makes me dream of what I will do in my own backyard one day. Which botanic garden do you go to?

  7. I was lucky enough to volunteer with Kawana in building a couple of those amazing bamboo sculptures. It was so magical to watch it all come together and now I get to enjoy them for dinner picnics with my three year old daughter. It is so much fun to see area favorites through relatively new eyes! Enjoying your posts....

    1. No way! Oooh, I'm jealous. Those sculptures are so great. And how nice that you two get to watch them with your daughter while you dine. I really love the gardens. We are there at least once a week. I think the installation will be really beautiful in the fall! I am trying to get back down to Chatfield too-- that satellite has a totally different vibe, and it's a great place to visit. I'm glad you commented on my blog, because now I have another great site (yours!) to follow. Enjoy the day!
